{"id":40,"date":"2015-10-10T13:38:08","date_gmt":"2015-10-10T03:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westbug.org.au\/?page_id=40"},"modified":"2017-03-28T20:46:53","modified_gmt":"2017-03-28T10:46:53","slug":"bicycle-network","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/brisbanewestbug.com\/index.php\/projects\/bicycle-network\/","title":{"rendered":"The better bicycle network"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>The main aim of this project is to identify the key priorities for new and upgraded infrastructure for Brisbane&#8217;s West based on feedback from West BUG members.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The better bicycle network\u00a0 is Brisbane West BUG&#8217;s first project. <strong>The project goal is to identify the key priorities for new bike infrastrucure in West Brisbane and the preferred network of local and principal bike routes that facilitate the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A connected and direct network<\/li>\n<li>Bicycle friendly suburban centres<\/li>\n<li>Safe routes to work places and schools<\/li>\n<li>Safe routes to the shops<\/li>\n<li>Protected space on main roads<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=zJZaSD43Brkk.kFUzhjhUsVJY\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<strong>How to participate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/westbug.org.au\/index.php\/membership\/\">Fill in the survey and membership form<\/a> and let us know what needs fixing in your local area. This overlay map guides future planning and spend on new and upgraded bicycle infrastructure.
